The only way to create an image for a company is to listen to what
a client says about its staff, its products and services. The design
solution must be a translation of those verbal images to visual
images of space and materials.
It was clear to us that the image for the new headquarters for
Factset would evolve primarily from management’s feelings
about their staff.
Factset combines more than 100 databases into a single online information
system to provide the investment community with the most comprehensive
integrated financial and economic information.
The word quality best describes the Factset obsession. In order
to have a quality product they start with the best and the brightest
and every day do thousands of quality tests of their products to
assure the validity of the information they deliver.
The space designed by CPG mirrors that quality requirement. CPG
used the highest quality materials and systems in an elegant way
to create an environment that is extremely functional, quite flexible
and yet looks very understated. Materials were selected for their
simplicity, durability and functionality.
The size and appointments to the workstations and offices combined
with the attention to detail like the quality of indirect light
reinforces the importance of the staff.
The image created is timeless.
